Unless you are A) Living in residence, or B) You’re registered for in-person classes, you will only receive a digital version of your UBCcard. It works for the library and as a picture ID and is accessible on your phone.
Returning students who already have a physical card can access a digital version of their card by logging into their account. This can be helpful for anyone who has lost their card and need to use it before a new card can be mailed to them.
Differences between physical and digital cards: Please note that digital cards cannot be used to access meal plans, e-commerce purchases or be used to access buildings or facilities.
